Student & Parent Workshops
We believe in the importance of parent-child dialogue regarding technology. Therefore, we structure our student and parent workshops in such a way as to facilitate conversations at home. During the day, we will lead workshops for students that relate to the devices, software, websites and applications they are using and specifically touch upon cultural implications and the potential harms that come with Internet usage. We discuss a variety of issues including social media, over-exposure, online predators and cyberbullying – just to name a few. That same day, we will facilitate an evening workshop for parents and teach them about how today’s children are interacting online, the positive and negative implications of technology, and how we can parent with more understanding about the culture of technology for our families.
Family Sessions
Each household has a variety of generations living under a single roof and therefore, a variety of different expectations about technology, the Internet, and the most appropriate and responsible ways to utilize them. Our goal in family sessions is to facilitate productive conversations between parents and children. We teach that technology and the Internet are not the enemy. Instead, they are efficient tools we can utilize on a day-to-day basis if we understand its dangers and make conscious decisions to handle them responsibly. Our family sessions are interactive and fun for everyone.
Small Groups Sessions
Cyber Safety Consulting offers sessions for small groups of individuals who are interested in learning more about the Internet, corresponding technology, and how it affects both our families and children. Our group sessions are great for mom groups, young co-ed parent groups, teenagers, etc. We cater to a variety of needs for these unique small groups and will tailor our content based on the issues most important to the participants.

That is where Cyber Safety Consulting comes in. We offer consulting services for institutions interested in learning about today’s technology options and specifically how they can implement strategies that have the safety of children as a priority.
